A rare Black-throated Thrush at Wykeham Forest on 20 Feb - only one or two seen in the UK each year.
A long journey but worth it to get great views of this Black Grouse in N Yorks on 23 Feb

Awesome views of a rare Black Kite at Helmsley on 20 April. I waited for over 5 hours for it to show but it was well worth it!

Eventually caught up with the Ring-necked Duck on 12 June at Fairburn after missing out on it five previous times recently throughout Yorkshire!

My 200th year bird & a "Lifer" - a rare Forster's Tern at RSPB Arne on 29 July. Shandies later to celebrate!!
Still in August - Lesser White-fronted Goose at Eccup, Cattle Egret at Fairburn & a Little Stint at St Aidan's
This Great White Pelican had escaped from Blackpool Zoo on 4 August and I photo'd it at Hay-a-Park, Knaresborough on 23 August where it was eventually recaptured and returned to Blackpool safe & sound.

A visit to Stainburn Forest on 28 Sept gave some lovely views of Crossbills & a Green Woodpecker
